Charles is a licensed associate counselor with seven years of experience in the field of counseling.  After a career in higher education, he decided to pursue a career in counseling and has worked with several facilities and agencies in northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.

Charles works with clients dealing with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues, including grief, depression, anxiety, and sexually maladaptive behaviors.  He also helps people who are struggling with significant life changes.

Charles combines aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with an Existential point of view.  He believes that talking through the problems we face is one of the best ways to find solutions.  He sometimes gives his clients advice but holds that the best approach is collaborative.  In other words, if you are lost, the best thing he can do is help you find the right direction to go in, not tell you where to go.  Sometimes this means challenging the beliefs that may be holding you back.

Charles believes in the power of listening and listens carefully to what his clients have to say.  More importantly, he invites clients to listen to themselves, to hear what they are actually saying.

Charles is a private pay therapist.
